Police are appealing for the public’s help as they investigate an alleged assault on a Christchurch bus last year.
Footage of the incident released by police today shows a tattooed man in a black t-shirt and jeans and a second man having what appears to be an argument.
The first man – wearing sunglasses on his forehead – appears to strike the second man, who was seated.
After the apparent strike, the first man gets off the bus and walks away.
“Christchurch Police investigating an assault last year on the Orbiter Bus on Linwood Avenue, Bromley are appealing for information to identify the man pictured as we believe he may be able to help with our inquiries,” a police spokesperson said today.
“The assault happened on Monday 27 November 2023, around 5.15pm.
“Police are continuing to liaise with the victim, who did not require medical attention at the time.”
