Ground crews and three helicopters have been sent to fight a vegetation fire in the Waitākere Ranges west of Auckland.
Fire and Emergency NZ told 1News it was called to a fire on the northern side of Te Aute Ridge Rd, east of Bethells Beach on Tuesday afternoon.
“We have five ground crews and three helicopters responding to a 30m by 50m bush fire,” FENZ said.
“We are currently working to contain the fire. It is moving slowly to the east.”
