Two more teenagers have been charged with murder as police continue to investigate the fatal stabbing of 15-year-old Kaea Karauria in Napier earlier this year.

Police said the two 16-year-olds would appear in the Napier Youth Court later today.

A 15-year-old was charged with murder earlier this week and a 21-year-old woman and teenage girl were charged with wilfully attempting to pervert the course of justice.

“Police are not ruling out further arrests and are continuing to investigate the tragic death of Kaea,” Detective Inspector Dave De Lange said.

Karauria was found critically injured at an Alexander Ave address following reports of disorder at 3.10am on May 11 and died at the scene despite the efforts of ambulance staff.

“We want to bring justice and peace for Kaea’s family, so we strongly urge anyone in the community to come forward with information about the murder,” De Lange said.

Anyone with information was asked to call police on 105, or the dedicated phone line for the investigation – 0800 852 525.
