State Highway 1 near Brynderwyns has reopened after an earlier vehicle fire between Auckland and Northland.
No injuries were reported in the incident which took place just south of the State Highway 12 intersection at Brynderwyn.
Police were alerted to the incident at 2.30pm. The road was previously closed in both directions, according to police.

Police told 1News it handed over the road clean-up to NZTA at about 3.30pm.
