Police have appealed for assistance from the public in identifying a man captured in surveillance images following a serious assault and robbery outside an Auckland supermarket last week.

Police received a report of a person stealing a bag and assaulting two elderly people in front of Woolworths Hobsonville at around 9am last Wednesday.

“One victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital,” a police spokesperson said.

Police released a photo of the man they believed may be able to assist with inquiries.

“If this is you, or you know who this man is, please update us online now or call 105,” they added.

Police also appealed for information to help identify a man in relation to an assault at Auckland’s Panmure Interchange earlier this year.

The incident occurred between 9.30pm and 11pm on June 6.

“If you have seen this man or have any information that may assist in identifying him please contact police on 105,” the spokesperson said.
