Police have named a man killed in a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 6 on Saturday night.
He was 40-year-old Ross man Andrew James Procter.
Procter died at the scene of the crash, which happened on State Highway 6, halfway between Ruatapu and Ross at around 8.35pm.
“Police extend our sympathies to his family at this difficult time.”
The driver of the other vehicle was injured in the crash and needed to be airlifted to hospital.
“Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing,” police said.
