Police investigating the death of a 67-year-old man in Gisborne last month are seeking sightings of a man on a bicycle in the area of the night of the incident.
Wayne Tamahori Dewes died in hospital after sustaining “serious injuries” at an address in Elgin on October 28.
Police said they have made “good progress” in the investigation, despite reluctance by several witnesses to share information with investigators.
“Police are seeking assistance from the community in relation to any sightings of a person on a bicycle in the Awapuni Rd, Lytton Rd and Elgin areas between 1.30am and 3am on October 28, 2024,” a spokesperson said.
