Police are appealing for the public’s help after a pedestrian died in a crash in Oamaru yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the scene on SH1 Thames Highway, between Fernbrook Rd and Redcastle Rd, at about 5.55pm.
The collision involved a vehicle and a pedestrian. “Sadly the pedestrian died,” police said.
“The serious crash unit has examined the scene and inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing,” a spokesperson said.
“Police would like to hear from anyone who might have witnessed the crash, or who might have dashcam footage to share with police.”
