Police are continuing to appeal for information on missing 25-year-old Travis Langford after his vehicle was discovered in Waikato nearly five months ago.

Langford, 24, travelled from Wellington to the Waikato region, where his car was located burnt out at a farm on Tolley Rd in Ngaroma on January 18.

His personal items were recovered near his vehicle, and his dog was found in a nearby paddock the following day.

“There are serious concerns for his wellbeing,” police said.

An alleged sighting of Langford was reported around Waitangi weekend, where he was believed to have been seen near Lake Waipapa. However, police could not confirm if that was him.

“A further alleged sighting was reported on March 2, however it was confirmed this was not Travis,” police said.

His family are continuing to conduct private searches and “are grateful for all the information that has been provided”.

Langford has a slim build and is approximately 5’10 with a dark, heart-shaped birthmark about 3cm wide on his neck.

“Travis was known to be very wary of people, however possibly has help from outside sources if he is hiding somewhere remotely.”

Anyone with information should contact the police on 105, either by phone or online, using the reference number 250119/4439.
