Pizza Hut is celebrating its 50th birthday in New Zealand by bringing back its all-you-can-eat buffet for a limited time only.

The “pop-up Hut” will be held at one Auckland location and include the pizza buffet with garlic bread, chips, salad bar, soft drinks and dessert bar.

From Thursday September 26 to Sunday September 29 pizza lovers will be able to relive some childhood memories at the pop-up venue in the City Works Depot near the Sky Tower.

Tickets for lunch and dinner sessions are “strictly limited” and will start from $30 per person.

A Pizza Hut spokesperson told the NZ Herald the first release of tickets, that were on sale at 8am this morning, sold out in under an hour.

A second release of tickets were likely to made available this week.

“We know that the Pizza Hut all-you-can-eat experience is a core memory for hundreds of thousands of Kiwis,” Arif Khan of Restaurant Brands Limited said.

“We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our 50th birthday and raise funds for our charity partner, Hato Hone St John, at the same time.”

New Zealand’s last dine-in Pizza Hut closed in March 2016.

The first store was opened in New Lynn Auckland in 1974.

Pizza Hut said all proceeds from The Hut pop-up store will be donated to its charity partner, Hato Hone St John. Bookings can be made online if more tickets become available.
