A person has been critically injured after an incident involving an e-scooter in Auckland’s Epsom this morning.
St John confirmed it sent one ambulance, one rapid response unit, and two operations managers to a motor vehicle accident on Gillies Ave, Epsom shortly before 1am.
“One patient, in critical condition, was transported to Auckland City Hospital,” a St John spokesperson said.
1News footage from the scene showed an e-scooter lying in front of a black car, which had a smashed windscreen.
Emergency services including police and Fire and Emergency New Zealand crews were pictured at the cordoned-off road under an overpass.
Police and FENZ have been approached for comment.
