One person was taken to hospital in a critical condition last night after allegedly being assaulted in Auckland’s Māngere Bridge.
Emergency services responded to a reported assault on Coronation Rd, Māngere Bridge shortly after 6pm.
St John said it sent one ambulance and two rapid response units to the scene.
“Our crews assessed and treated one patient who was transported to Auckland City hospital in a critical condition,” a spokesperson said.
Police said inquiries were ongoing to locate the alleged offender.
