A person has been taken to hospital by helicopter in a critical condition after a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian in Hawke’s Bay.
Emergency services were called to the crash on Ongaonga Rd in Waipawa at around 9.45am.
St John Ambulance said one patient was taken to Hawke’s Bay Hospital by helicopter.
The road has since reopened, police said.
The serious crash unit has been advised.
