One person has died after a crash involving three vehicles in Auckland’s Beachlands this morning.
Police first responded to the crash, which involved three vehicles on Whitford-Maraetai Rd, at around 6.35am.
“Sadly, one person received critical injuries and died at the scene,” police said.
“Police extend our condolences to their loved ones at this difficult time.”
Two others were also reported to have been hurt in the crash, with injuries ranging from moderate to minor. Police said they were transported to hospital.
The scene has since been cleared and the road has reopened.
“The serious crash unit was in attendance, and inquiries into the circumstances of the crash remain ongoing.”
