Police are seeking the public’s help locating a man missing from a Carterton walking track since Wednesday.
Ben Fox, also known as Sam, was last seen at his home in Masterton on Wednesday morning, police said.
The 56-year-old’s vehicle has since been found on Mangatarere Valley Rd near the Mangatarere Valley walking track.
Fox is of a medium build, 1.72m tall, and has short hair.
Police and LandSAR were searching the area and working to determine when Fox may have entered the track.
“A helicopter has been deployed, and police are in contact with the family who we will keep updated as the search progresses.”
Police were also seeking sightings of a white 2013 Subaru Impreza vehicle on Mangatere Rd between Wednesday morning and Thursday afternoon.
Anyone who may have seen Fox walking on the track or has information was asked to contact police.
