A 50-year-old man has been charged with assault after a woman’s body was found in Auckland’s Papatoetoe yesterday.
Counties Manukau West Manager Detective Senior Sergeant Michael Hayward said police were called to an Ashlynne Avenue address on Saturday about 10.30am.
“Police are continuing to make inquiries, with a scene examination being carried out today, while a post-mortem will be conducted tomorrow,” he said.
The man was due to appear in Manukau District Court tomorrow.
