A German national has died of her injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Wellington on Monday evening.
The 66-year-old was crossing the street on Courtenay Pl when she was hit by a vehicle about 8.25pm.
She died of her injuries in hospital on Wednesday afternoon.
“The victim’s family have travelled to New Zealand. Police are providing them with support and liaising with the German Embassy,” police said.
An investigation into the circumstances behind the crash was ongoing.
No charges had been laid at this time, police said.
