Two people have been injured following a four-car crash on an Auckland motorway this afternoon.

The nose-to-tail collision occurred around 2.25pm on the Southern Motorway, near the Highbrook off-ramp, police said.

One person sustained moderate injuries in the crash, while another was seriously injured.

Northbound motorists have been advised to expect delays.

Meanwhile, a three-vehicle crash has been reported on the Southern Motorway near the Grafton Bridge around 3.20pm.

The road is partially blocked heading northbound.
