Police have confirmed the death of an eight-month-old child in Wellington last month is not being treated as suspicious.
Officers were called to an address in Newtown on September 24.
“While we continue to complete inquiries, we are satisfied that it is appropriate to refer the matter to the Coroner, who will release their findings in due course,” a police spokesperson said.
“Police also acknowledge this is a very distressing time for the baby’s family, and we continue to offer them support and our condolences.”
