A man has been arrested following a shooting in the West Auckland suburb of Hobsonville earlier this month which left two people seriously injured.
Police were called after two people presented at a hospital with gunshot wounds shortly after 11pm on December 22.
Both victims were seriously injured, and one remained in hospital.
Waitematā CIB Detective Senior Sergeant Megan Goldie said a 29-year-old man believed to be responsible has been arrested.
“The man has been charged with two counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and failing to carry out obligations in relation to a computer search and will appear in the Waitākere District Court tomorrow,” she said.
Goldie said the investigation remained ongoing, and police would still like to hear from anyone who may have any information in relation to this incident.
