Hair-growth products are having a moment, but Eternal Blue is approaching the category from a distinctly personal place.
Launching in New Zealand this July, the new luxury haircare brand draws on traditional Mongolian medicine, botanical ingredients and contemporary cosmetic science to support stronger, thicker and healthier-looking hair.
Eternal Blue was founded by Mongolia-born, New Zealand-based Saraa Orgilmaa, whose interest in natural medicine began during her childhood. The brand’s name references Mongolia’s reputation as the Land of the Eternal Blue Sky, reflecting both Saraa’s heritage and the expansive landscape that shaped her earliest experiences of nature and wellbeing.
At the heart of the range is wild nettle, or Urtica dioica, a plant that has been used across Mongolia and Central Asia for generations. Rich in nutrients including silica and vitamins A, C and K, nettle is traditionally valued for both medicinal and culinary purposes.
For Saraa, however, the ingredient is also tied to memories of gathering and preparing medicinal plants with her grandfather.
“I’ve always believed in the power of herbal and traditional medicine, and I wanted to create something meaningful from that background,” she says. “Hair loss and hair health affect both women and men, and I felt there was a gap for products that support overall wellbeing, not just appearance.”
The debut collection comprises three products designed to be used as a complete routine: the Restoring Shampoo, $68, Restoring Conditioner, $68, and Restoring Serum, $120.
The shampoo uses gentle, plant-derived cleansing agents alongside nettle, aloe vera, green tea and Panax ginseng extracts to cleanse without leaving the scalp feeling stripped. The conditioner combines nettle with botanical oils, nourishing butters and squalane to hydrate and strengthen the hair fibre while reducing breakage and improving manageability.
The hero of the system is the concentrated Restoring Serum, a lightweight, non-greasy formula designed to be massaged directly into the scalp. Alongside nettle, it features rosemary leaf extract, ginseng, green tea and bio-fermented minerals to support scalp health, fullness and reduced visible shedding.
According to an independent clinical study involving participants experiencing hair shedding, 92 per cent reported thicker hair, 90 per cent saw improved hair growth and 87 per cent experienced reduced shedding after using the complete system.

Every product is more than 95 per cent natural, vegan and cruelty-free, and is formulated without silicones, sulphates, parabens, phthalates or mineral oil.
Saraa’s experience of motherhood also helped shape the brand’s wider purpose: encouraging women to make space for small but meaningful rituals of self-care.
“After giving birth, I became even more aware of how many women put themselves last,” she says. “Taking care of your hair isn’t superficial. It’s part of feeling healthy, confident and beautiful from within.”
