Armed police have put up a cordon around a building in Wellington this afternoon after reports there may have been a person with a gun.
Police said the cordon on Webb St in the suburb of Te Aro was a “precaution” and that the presence of a firearm had “not been substantiated yet”.
“Motorists and pedestrians are asked to follow the directions of police staff in the area,” a spokesperson said.
