A man has been arrested after he allegedly robbed a bar on Auckland’s North Shore with a weapon on Saturday evening, threatening staff.
Police were called to the bar on Lake Road at around 7.30pm on June 14.
Detective Senior Sergeant Megan Goldie said the sole offender entered the bar, “allegedly carrying a weapon, and threatened a staff member working at the time”.
The offender made off with cash and left in a stolen vehicle.
The worker was not injured.

He was later arrested when police found the vehicle parked in the central Auckland suburb of Newton.
“The car was located by Auckland City staff parked on Fenton Street, and they were waiting when the offender left a nearby venue to return to his vehicle,” Goldie said.
“After initially being arrested over the stolen vehicle, police located a large amount of cash on his person.
“The staff were aware of the earlier aggravated robbery and the man was spoken to further.”
A 28-year-old is due to appear at the North Shore District Court today, charged with aggravated robbery.
“Police will be opposing this man’s bail when he appears in court,” Goldie said.
