A person has died following a two-vehicle crash in Canterbury’s Lewis Pass over the weekend.
Police were called to the crash on State Highway 7, Lewis Pass shortly before midday yesterday.
“One person was transported to hospital in a critical condition where they have since died overnight,” a police spokesperson told 1News.
Two further people were also transported to hospital in moderate condition, police said.
The Serious Crash Unit conducted a scene examination and inquiries into the circumstances of the crash were ongoing.
