Two people have been reported injured after a car crashed into a bus stop this morning in Auckland’s Point Chevalier.

In a statement, a police spokesperson said the crash near Huia Rd in Auckland’s Point Chevalier was reported to police shortly after 11am.

“Early indications suggest one person has suffered moderate injuries and another person has received minor injuries,” they said.

Police said one of those injured was a pedestrian.

St John said one ambulance, one rapid response vehicle, and one operations manager were sent to the scene.

“One ambulance transported one patient in a minor condition to Auckland City Hospital. Another patient in a moderate condition was assessed and treated at the scene,” a St John spokesperson said.

Motorists were asked to avoid a section of Great North Rd and expect delays in the area.
