Police have named two women who died after a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 54 near Feilding last week.
They were 29-year-old Lauren Kate Somerville and 47-year-old Judith Anne Tweedale, both of Mangaweka.
Emergency services were called to the serious crash on Cheltenham-Hunterville Rd at about 4.45pm on Thursday.
The crash happened near the intersection with Benson Rd in Beaconsfield.
Police confirmed Somerville had died that day. The following morning, police confirmed Tweedale had died in hospital.
A third person was also hurt in the crash.
“Police extend our sympathies to the families and loved ones of the deceased.
“Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.”
