A woman has been charged with murder after a man’s body was found in a Tauranga walkway yesterday morning.
Police were called to an area in Gate Pā near St George Street at about 8.45am. A 63-year-old man was found dead.
Today, police revealed a 50-year-old woman has been charged with murder. She appeared in the Tauranga District Court today.
She was remanded in custody and will appear in the Tauranga High Court on October 30.
“Both the victim and the woman charged have been granted name suppression at this stage,” police said.
“Police would still like to hear from anyone who was in the area where the man was found between the evening of Thursday 3 October and Sunday morning, who may have witnessed something of note.”
