Taylor Swift Postpones Saturday's Eras Tour Show Due to 'Extreme Temperatures' in Brazil

Due to "extreme temperatures" in Brazil, Taylor Swift has postponed her Eras Tour performance this coming Saturday.

The vocalist of Midnights recently said on Instagram that she decided to postpone the performance while in her dressing room at Rio de Janeiro's Estadio Nilton Santos.

"I'm writing from the stadium's dressing room. The severe temperatures in Rio have led to the decision to postpone tonight's event," she wrote in a handwritten statement that she published on her Instagram Story.

"The safety and well-being of my fans, fellow performers, and crew has to and always will come first."

One day after a fan passed away on Friday, just moments before the show, there has been a postponement. The "Lavender Haze" singer expressed her "devastation" at learning about the fan's passing prior to going on stage.

Not being able to discuss it from the podium, she continued, saying she was "overwhelmed by grief."

Swift posted a handwritten letter on her Instagram Story, stating, "I can't believe I'm writing these words but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show."

"The extent of my devastation at this cannot possibly be expressed. Other than the fact that she was really young and gorgeous, I don't know a lot about her."
