Taylor Swift fan dies at the Eras Rio tour amid heat wave. Mayor calls for water for next shows

Speaking out, Taylor Swift expressed her shock upon learning that a woman passed away at her Eras Tour show in Rio de Janeiro on Friday night amid a heat advisory.

The Brazilian organizers of the exhibition reported that a 23-year-old had passed away there.

A few hours after the performance, Swift said on Instagram, "I can't believe I'm writing these words but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show."

"The extent of my devastation at this cannot possibly be expressed. I don't know much about her other than the fact that she was far too young and quite attractive.

I will not be able to talk about this on stage because even thinking about it makes me feel so overwhelmed with pain.

I would want to express that I am truly saddened by her passing and my thoughts are with her family and friends. When we chose to take this tour to Brazil, I never imagined what has happened to us."

Ana Clara Benevides Machado's cause of death is unknown, however according to Brazilian local media accounts, she suffered from cardiac arrest.

Prior to Swift's final two performances on Saturday and Sunday, the mayor of the city has demanded modifications.
