After Sunday's narrow 17-16 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, the Seattle Seahawks are swiftly back to work in preparation for their upcoming Thanksgiving matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.
In response to the setback, the Seahawks enacted a couple of notable roster changes on Monday to rebound from the defeat.
Seahawks fans have something to look forward to as the team has opened the 21-day practice window for cornerback Coby Bryant's return from injured reserve.
Bryant, a 2022 fourth-round pick from Cincinnati, had an impressive rookie season with 70 total tackles, two sacks, four passes defended, and four forced fumbles. Unfortunately, he has been sidelined since Week 2 this season due to a toe injury.
With the practice window now open, the Seahawks have three weeks to decide whether to activate Bryant to the 53-man roster or keep him on injured reserve for the remainder of the season.
Given the Seahawks' statistically average-to-below-average pass defense, Bryant's potential return is anticipated to provide a significant boost to the team.
The second roster move involved the signing of offensive tackle Jake Curhan to the practice squad. Curhan, an undrafted free agent in 2021, had been on the 53-man roster until Saturday when he was waived to make room for veteran lineman Jason Peters.
Curhan, 25, has contributed in nine games this season, starting four of them while primarily filling in for the injured lineman Abraham Lucas.
