The Mode SixtyFive is a 65% mechanical keyboard kit built for typists who want full control over how their board looks, sounds, and feels.

  • Multiple Plate Materials: Choose from FR4, POM, Aluminum, Carbon Fiber, Copper, or Polypropylene plates. Each material changes the sound and feel of every keypress, so you can tune the board to your preference without buying a new keyboard.
  • Hotswap or Solder PCB: The hotswap PCB lets you swap switches without any tools, while the solder PCB offers broader layout support for experienced builders. Both run on QMK and VIA firmware for full key remapping.
  • Switch Compatibility: The kit supports 5-pin switches and pairs with Mode’s own linear, tactile, and silent tactile options. All available switches come pre-lubed, so the board is ready to type right out of the box.
  • Complete Kit Included: Every order ships with a carry case, daughterboard, JST cable, mounting block pack, screwdriver, keycap puller, and switch puller. If you choose a hotswap PCB, you don’t need extra tools for assembly.
  • Cross-Platform USB-C Connection: The board connects via USB-C and works on macOS, Windows, and Linux without additional drivers or software.
