Marvel Studios' 4th R-Rated Project Just Got Announced

There are now four R-rated Marvel Studios projects that will dominate the MCU in the upcoming years.

The majority of the superhero genre has been influenced by PG-13 films intended for families and teenagers. This is especially true of the larger Marvel Universe,

as there have been no films in the MCU to date that have received a higher mature classification from the MPAA.

The director of Blade, Yann Demange, said in November 2023 that his next MCU film will have an R-rating, following in the footsteps of Wesley Snipes' Blade trilogy from the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Marvel Studios' first trailer for their upcoming Disney+ series Echo was released today. Marvel announced that the show will have a TV-MA rating, which is the same as an R-rating for a feature-length film.
