LSU's Angel Reese sends cryptic message amid speculation about her playing status.

Angel Reese, the LSU basketball star, posted a cryptic message on social media on Sunday, as speculation swirls about why she hasn't been playing for the Tigers.

Reese was not present for the team's 73-50 victory over Southeastern Louisiana on Friday night. She sat out the second half of their 109-79 win over Kent State on Tuesday.

However, as speculation about the reason grows, Reese posted a message on X.

"Please don't believe everything you read," she wrote in an email. On Friday night, LSU coach Kim Mulkey sent a mysterious message as well.

"Angel is part of this basketball team, and we hope to see her sooner than later," he said.

She gave no further explanation and refused to answer any further questions about Reese. There were no LSU players available for postgame interviews.

Reese started the season's first four games, averaging 17 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.

LSU went 3-1 during that time, with the only loss coming against Colorado in the season opener.
