Mike Ditka, a Hall of Fame NFL coach, has sold his Chicago house for $575,000.

Former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka has successfully sold his home in the Windy City. "Iron Mike," 84, and his wife, Diana, advertised their longstanding condo in Chicago's Streeterville area for $599,000 last month, according to the Chicago Tribune. Only 10 days later, the journal reported that the Bears' six-time All-Pro tight end had entered into contract for the deal, having found a buyer and selling the corner unit for $575,000, $24,000 less than the initial asking price.

"Mike Ditka IS Chicago," said @properties agent Emily Sachs Wong, who held the listing. "With beautiful wood detailing and unbeatable views of the Magnificent Mile, this apartment embodied the classic feel of our city." He left a wonderful legacy for the future generation of homeowners." Wong told the Tribune that the Ditkas opted to sell the flat since they no longer live in the city, and the outlet confirmed the couple now live in a 4,200-square-foot home they built in Naples, Florida in 2002. In addition to his football renown (including leading the Bears to their sole Super Bowl victory in 1986), Ditka is also recognized for his eponymous steakhouses, which began on Chicago's Magnificent Mile in 1997.
