For the Suns' Deandre Ayton, the Warriors have made an incredible deal.

One NBA writer thinks it would be a big deal for the Golden State Warriors to trade for Deandre Ayton from the Phoenix Suns.

Eddie Bitar of Fadeaway World suggested that the Warriors and Suns make the following trade:

Ayton shot 58.9% from the field and 76.0% from the free-throw line last NBA season and scored 18.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game.

During the regular season, Phoenix won 45 games with his help. He had 36 double-doubles.

But Ayton's level of play went down in the NBA playoffs of 2023. In 10 games against the Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets,

The center scored 13.4 points and 9.7 boards. In the Nuggets series, Ayton averaged 10.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, but he never had a positive plus-minus number.
