Before landing an intriguing new part, Sam Heughan of Outlander shares a graphic "injury" photo. 

Sam Heughan, star of Outlander, is happy to be back at work after the SAG-AFTRA 118-day strike in Hollywood ended. 

Returning to the set of the popular Starz series, he wasted no time in providing fans with an update. 

The 43-year-old actor, who is filming the last season of Outlander, posted on Instagram to share how happy he was to be back on set. 

Heughan is working on a number of other projects, including a new series of Men in Kilts with Graham McTavish ,

and a new drama series on Channel 4 called The Couple Next Door with Eleanor Tomlinson. 

The second part of Outlander season seven is scheduled for release in 2019.Heughan posted some behind-the-scenes photos from the most recent Outlander season on Friday.

Because Outlander is a Starz production, filming had to stop during the strike even though it was filmed in Scotland. 

With his first post about Outlander since the show's filming ended, he set fans' hearts aflutter.
