An antisemitic social media post, according to Elon Musk, was "the actual truth."

Elon Musk drew flak for allegedly endorsing antisemitic sentiments when he agreed ,

with a post on X that claimed Jews harbor a "dialectical hatred" of white people. The billionaire founder of X Corp.,

formerly Twitter, Elon Musk, remarked, "You have said the actual truth," in response to a user's post ,

on Wednesday that promoted an antisemitic conspiracy theory. In a subsequent post,

Musk appeared to backtrack, concurring with a commenter who argued that it was inaccurate to claim that Jewish groups "promote dialectical hatred towards White" people.

Musk retorted, "This does not extend to all Jewish communities, but it is also not limited to the ADL,"

a reference to the Jewish advocacy organization Anti-Defamation League.

The postings coincide with a record number of documented antisemitic events in the United States, as well as an increase in harassment of Jewish and Muslim Americans due to the Israel-Hamas conflict.
