Auckland dancer Elvis Lopeti has been teaching Breakfast host Daniel Faitaua some moves ahead of the Super Bowl this afternoon.

Lopeti was a dancer during Rihanna’s halftime show last year. He’s a member of the Royal Family dance crew, a renowned Kiwi hip-hop group.

This morning Lopeti showed Faitaua how to cut shapes just like Rihanna. “Oh that’s easy, do you think I’ve got what it takes?” Faitaua joked to Lopeti.

The pair danced to Rihanna’s hit song Pon de Replay, where Anna Burns-Francis, Jenny-May Clarkson, and Chris Chang could be seen laughing at their fellow co-host.

Usher is performing at the halftime show this year, with around 115 million people expected to tune in.

It’s not just the half time performance making headlines though, fans are eager to see if Taylor Swift will make an appearance this year.

Swift is dating Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, whose team will go up against the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas today.
