Footage has been released of police officers in hot pursuit of an alleged lawn mower thief south of Auckland earlier this month.
The theft allegedly took place at a home in Karaka on the morning of January 1.
A video posted to the Counties Manukau Police Facebook page this afternoon shows four officers chasing after the stolen ride-on mower on foot.
An officer could be seen running up alongside the lawnmower, before reaching over to pull the person off the vehicle.
A 34-year-old man was arrested over the incident, a police spokesperson told 1News.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Manukau District Court on March 21 charged with burglary.
