A 17-year-old is in a critical condition after being stabbed in the Hamilton suburb of Melville yesterday.
Police said the male teenager was injured in a serious assault outside an address on Slim St at around 5pm yesterday.
“Approximately seven people are thought to have been involved, and inquiries are ongoing to identify and locate them,” said Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Neilson.
A scene examination was being conducted today.
1News contacted Hato Hone St John about the incident, who referred all inquiries to police.
Police asked anyone with relevant information, especially those in the area with CCTV, to contact them on 105.
