Police have appealed to two members of the public – a runner and a pedestrian – as part of their ongoing investigation into the unexplained death of a man in Miramar last week.

Abdul Nabizadah, 63, was found with serious head injuries at the intersection of Camperdown Rd and Totara Rd around 2.20am on March 17.

He was discovered by police carrying out area inquiries into a serious burglary that had occurred a short distance away around 20 minutes earlier.

Nabizadah died in hospital and an unexplained death investigation was launched.

Detective Inspector Nick Pritchard said police would like to hear from two men who may have details “critical” to the investigation.

A man wearing a light-coloured top and dark pants was seen walking down Camperdown Rd from Totara St and turned right into Darlington St from Totara St at around 12.28am.

Pritchard said Nabizadah arrived in Totara St in his silver-coloured Toyota Aqua with the registration NQE681 at 12.25am.

“This man may well have seen Mr Nabizadah and or his vehicle.”

A second man, wearing fitness clothing or activewear, was seen running south on Darlington Rd, crossing the Camperdown Rd intersection at around 1.30am.

“The man was wearing a blue shirt, and we need to hear from him,” Pritchard said.

Police had made several inquiries into the victim’s unexplained death as well as a parallel investigation into a Darlington Rd burglary at 2am where the intruder was disturbed by the occupants of the property.

Pritchard said police were still seeking dashcam footage from anyone in the area from midnight to 3am.

“It’s likely there were people out and about at that time, or people commuting to or from work.”

Anyone with relevant information should contact police on 105.
