Foodstuffs Own Brands Limited has issued a recall of Pams brand Afghan Oat Baked Bars due to the possible presence of metal from manufacturing equipment.
“The concern with these oat bars is that some metal from manufacturing equipment may have got into the product during the production process,” the Ministry for Primary Industries said on its website.
“There have been no reports of associated injury, however if you have consumed any of this product and have any concerns about your health, seek medical advice.”
Anyone who purchased the bars with Batch L5017 and a Best Before date of 16/01/2026 was advised not to consume the product but instead return them to the retailer for a full refund, or throw them out.
The affected products were sold at Four Square, Gilmours, New World, Pak’nSave, Social Supermarket and Trents nationwide.
The products have been removed from store shelves and have not been exported.
