One person has died and another has been seriously injured after a two-vehicle crash near Morrinsville this afternoon.
The crash on Morrinsville-Tahuna Rd, between Quine Rd and Paeroa-Tahuna Rd, was reported to police around 1pm.
The road remains closed around the crash scene and diversions are in place, a spokesperson said.
Hato Hone St John was notified of the incident at 1.07pm and responded with one ambulance, one rapid response unit and one first response unit.
“Our crews have assessed and treated one patient who was transported to Waikato Hospital in a serious condition,” a spokesperson said.
