A person has been found dead following a house fire in Marton this morning.
Emergency services were called to the Calico Line property, between Bredins Line and Nga Tawa Rd, about 6.10am, and found the house fully ablaze.
One person was found dead at the property.
A scene guard has been put in place as Police and Fire and Emergency New Zealand investigators carry out a scene examination.
The cause of the fire is still to be determined.
It comes after four people were injured following a house fire in Dunedin’s Saint Clair overnight.
Two people were treated for minor injuries at the scene, a St John spokesperson said.
One person in a minor condition and another in a moderate condition were taken to Dunedin Hospital.
