A motorcyclist has died after a crash on Auckland’s Southern Motorway this afternoon.
The Southern Motorway, which was previously closed northbound, has since reopened and traffic congestion has cleared.
Police said emergency services were alerted to the crash, which involved a car and a motorbike, at 3.10pm.
“The motorcyclist was transported to hospital in a critical condition following the crash.
“Tragically they passed away a short time later.
“Police thank motorists for their patience while the road was closed.”
