A man has been critically injured after falling from a roof on Dunedin’s Castle St while trying to take a group photo.
Police said emergency services were called to the street, an area popular with students studying in the region, at around 10.10pm.
“It is believed a 19-year-old has fallen from a roof while attempting to take a group photo,” a spokesperson said.
St John said it sent one ambulance and one rapid response unit to the scene.
“One patient was assessed at the scene and transported to Dunedin Hospital in a critical condition,” a spokesperson said.
Police said it was making inquiries into the incident.
