Thousands converge on to Tūrangawaewae Marae, in Ngāruawāhia, to commemorate the first anniversary of Te Arikinui Kuini Nga wai hono i te po as the Māori queen.

The Koroneihana is a week-long event, a time of reflection and celebration for the eighth Māori monarch. She delivers her first public speech since the death of her father the late King Tuheitia, on Friday.
