Mini Haricot Bag, Low Classic

“This year I’ve been particularly focused on accessories I can add to most outfits to elevate the look. Naturally, a bag was first on the list. I wanted something chic that could work for day and night. When I’m shooting, I carry spare batteries, SD cards, lip products and a film camera, so I needed something practical that would sit on my shoulder. I saw someone on TikTok wearing this and knew it was the one — I went to Workshop the next week and haven’t taken it off since.”

The Creative Act, Rick Rubin

“This book has completely changed my life — it’s extremely popular for good reason. Rick Rubin speaks from a wealth of creative experience, but also from a deeply intuitive and insightful place. As a creative, I think it’s mandatory to actually read it, rather than just have it as a performative coffee table decoration.”

Oversized Wool Coat, Barneys New York

“This is my favourite piece I have ever purchased. About five years ago, between uni classes in Wellington, I was strolling through an opshop and came across this coat. I tried it on, loved it, and bought it straight away. Later that day I realised it was Barneys New York — with all the tags still on. I’ve worn it every winter since.”

Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick, YSL & Peptide Lip Shape in Press, Rhode

“I stand on business for this lip combo. It’s such an effortless way to feel ready for anything — whether it’s a meeting, coffee catch-up, supermarket run or date night. I was hesitant about the Rhode liner because it looked quite pink, but it has a beautiful cool undertone that feels really natural. The Candy Glaze on top is the perfect synergy of gloss and balm.”

Ash Callaghan YouTube Channel

“This is very much a ‘fashion if you know, you know’. Ash is a fashion YouTuber whose content is a mix of mathematical models, low-quality audio, obscure fashion takes and hilarity. Underneath the satire, she’s incredibly well-researched on fashion culture and has made me rethink my own perspective lately.”

Homme Plissé Issey Miyake Trousers

“These pants are an absolute staple. I may or may not have stolen them from my husband’s wardrobe and never given them back. The iconic Issey Miyake pleating is not only beautiful but ridiculously comfortable. They’re slick, timeless, and perfect for shooting — a piece I’ll hold onto for as long as possible.”

SABLE, fABLE, Bon Iver

“This album has altered my brain chemistry. I first listened to it as the weather started cooling down and it just felt perfect. The lyricism in AWARDS SEASON stopped me in my tracks, and from there the whole album feels mature and layered. From is my favourite — it deserves all the flowers.”

Espio 140V, Pentax

“This is one of my trusty point-and-shoot film cameras. I’ve taken some of my most treasured photos on this humble camera. It fits in my bag and has done a lot of mileage — through many summers and some very cool campaigns.”

Wonderwood Eau de Parfum, Comme des Garçons

“Wonderwood has been my signature scent for about seven years. I remember starting university and going through a bit of a personal rebrand — finding a new scent was part of that process. It’s unisex, edgy, and makes me feel invincible. I rarely leave the house without it.”
