A man has died after suffering critical injuries while hunting in the East Coast near Tolaga Bay.
Emergency services were called to Tauwhareparae Rd in the Gisborne district around 10.40pm last night.
A police spokesperson said the man was found with critical injuries.
“He was airlifted to hospital but died several hours later.”
Police said they were speaking with a number of people as inquiries continue.
