Images have been released of Dame Jacinda Ardern as she tied the knot with television presenter Clarke Gayford in an intimate ceremony in Hawke’s Bay this afternoon.

The former Prime Minister wed her long-time partner surrounded by their friends and loved ones at a winery, which 1News has chosen not to name.

Photographs show the former world leader smiling in her wedding dress as she embraces her new husband.

Those on the guestlist included Dame Jacinda’s close friend and Labour MP Grant Robertson, Opposition leader Chris Hipkins, former Parliamentary speaker and ex-senior Labour MP Sir Trevor Mallard, Labour MP Kelvin Davis, and Annette King, the High Commissioner of New Zealand to Australia.

Also in attendance was fashion designer Juliette Hogan and celebrity chef Peter Gordon.

It comes nearly two years after their first plans for a wedding was scuttled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
